An essay I read about good writing techniques said it's better to show and not tell, e.g. have a character demonstrate his intelligence like Shikamaru instead of just having people say that he's intelligent. I feel like Kishimoto here is trying the showing thing; we literally spent about maybe half the series without talking about Madara. Oh yes, he showed up at the Valley of the End so there are hints he's supposed to be in shinobi culture, but if he's the boogey man in that haunts children at the night, you'd think people would mention him on occasion before the war started.

I like how Naruto's first instinct upon seeing the dude that's been causing him all this grief is to headbutt him. It's nice to know from Gaara onwards he's still the same.

Seriously, how the fuck is Naruto capable of having hilarious conversations with bijuu in the middle of a battle? Does time stop on the outside when this happens? Or is crazy shit still going on?

Dude on the left looks like a Pokemon.

You're such a fucking tsundere, Kyuubi.

Ooooohhhh shit. I remember when this came out, it was the first time I'd felt excited about the series in a while. How far we've come with Kyuubi until now.

Speaking of kissing Sasuke, does anyone remember what was happening in this episode? I'd stopped watching fillers by that point.

I know you're trying to say something inspirational and all here, but really I can only focus on your mustache. How did you do that? Did you just dye those areas?
